Out of School Time

During the week, hundreds of children in southwest Denver are left alone and unsupervised when school gets out.  This can lead to poor grades, higher risk of dropping out of school, and juvenile crime. But what are working parents to do?

College View Community Center opens its doors each afternoon for students from the surrounding schools to have a safe place to go after school at no cost. Staff provide a variety of activities including reading time, arts and crafts, music, social development groups and sports clinics.  Each day brings new fun and adventure, and allows students to hang out with their friends in a safe environment where they learn important skills.
