Older Adult Support
Loneliness is a health epidemic, especially among our city’s low income older adults
Denver Inner City Parish provides encouragement, engagement and education to our neighbors 60+ who are in need.
What
Our older adult program provides food boxes, socialization, educational classes, and transportation services to our events and participant’s medical appointments.
Classes include:
- Financial Wellness
- Technology Support
- Medicare and Medicaid Assistance
- Healthy Eating
Who
-
Adults age 60+.
Must live within 5 miles of DICP.
You may be under 60 to receive a meal if you volunteer to serve food.
When
-
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:30AM-1PM, with a hot meal served at 11AM.
We also host fun & educational day trips two Wednesdays a month!
I love the classes they have at the parish. We are learning art, and now I do art at home for fun. I’ve never been an artist, I’ve never done any art before, but I like it a lot.
